On May 3 and 4, 2025, the Domaine d’O in Montpellier becomes the scene of a unique event of its kind: the festival Saperlipopette. This 26th edition offers families an explosion of creativity and entertainment around theater, from the dance, of circus and the music. Renowned artists and companies take young and old into a world where imagination has no limits.
A cultural dive for the youngest
The festival Saperlipopette is much more than a simple succession of shows. Designed as a real introduction to living arts, it invites children to explore varied forms of expression. In two days, the park of the Cité Européenne du Théâtre – Domaine d’O comes alive to the rhythm of stage creations, of the workshops and artistic performances, providing an inspiring backdrop for their young minds.
Shows for all tastes
I’m too green
Among the highlights of this edition, the piece “Je suis trop vert” by David Lescot, presented by the Kaïros company, particularly stands out. It continues the adventures of “Me”, a schoolboy whose adventures we have been following since “I’m too afraid” and “I have too many friends”. This new chapter, full of humor and sensitivity, explores the challenges of a green classroom. The performances will take place at the Jean-Claude Carrière Theater, at the Domaine d’O, on Saturday May 3 and Sunday May 4, at 10:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.
Earth connection
For those who prefer a visual and sensory spectacle, “Prise de terre” from the company Soluble Fish offers an immersion in the world of clay sculpture. The artists, united in a surprising burlesque duo, create fascinating characters before the amazed eyes of children. The show takes the form of a silent and poetic ballet, questioning our relationship with nature and creation. Experience this unique moment at the Domaine d’O at 1:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on both days of the festival.
A captivating artistic fusion
Prelude
Another sensation of the weekend, the choreography “Prelude” by Kader Attou for the Accrorap company, delicately blends hip-hop dance and precise choreographic writing. Showcasing a perfect osmosis between music and movement, this performance captivates with its intensity and rhythmic dynamics. Spectators are invited to experience a moment of pure energy, presented at the Amphitheater d’O, on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 at 12:00 p.m. An invitation to discovery
The Saperlipopette festival is a perfect opportunity for children and their families to discover the many facets of artistic expression. Whether through captivating shows, participatory workshops, or unique performances, this annual event is a gateway to a world where art and play come together to amaze young and old alike.
