Are you ready to discover the hidden side of the scandal that is shaking up the professional baccalaureate? In the corridors of Studio M in Montpellier, five students were eliminated, plunging the establishment into turmoil. Secrets are revealed, gray areas are clarified… Prepare to delve into the heart of this disturbing affair which raises many questions about our education system.
The controversy over the elimination of Studio M students
This year, a storm is shaking the Professional Baccalaureate Arts and Crafts option multimedia visual communication in Montpellier. Half of the students at Studio M were failed, and the cause of this elimination raises many questions. In fact, five students saw their results noted as “not validated eliminatory” on their transcript, not because of poor academic performance, but because of the test called “work-based training evaluation”.
Parents’ accusations against Champollion high school
These five eliminated students all took their exam at the Champollion high school, a direct competitor of the private school Studio M. The parents of the students accuse a teacher from the Champollion high school of scandalous and hostile remarks towards their children, such as “Why did you go to that shitty school?”, or “How much do your parents pay for this school?” These remarks were considered unacceptable by the parents, who plan to file a complaint.
Conflict of interest or administrative misunderstanding?
Suspicions of sabotage are also emerging among the parents and students of Studio M. According to Caroline, mother of a failed student, this is a real conflict of interest between the two establishments: “There is a conflict of interest, it’s like if we had to rate the quality of the food and we asked Quick to rate McDonald’s. Quick is going to say it’s disgusting.”
Documentation and organizational issues
In addition, parents have examined the regulations and know that to be eliminated, you must either not have completed the necessary 22 hours of internships, which is not the case here, or not have provided the documents on time. However, all the students had completed their hours and the documents, including internship agreements and reports, hand-delivered by the Studio M school to the Champollion high school before the tests.
The organization of Studio M itself is singled out. The management underwent changes in March, followed by internship agreements to be redone at the last minute and information sent in dribs and drabs before the tests. Could this disorganization have led to some crucial documents being lost or forgotten? Parents are alarmed: “My daughter will have to repeat her final year, even though she had validated her student scholarship and had even received her Crous canteen card. But if I don’t know why she was eliminated, how can I be sure it won’t happen again next year?”
The reaction of the Montpellier Academy and Studio M
Currently, the services of the Montpellier Academy treat cases on a case-by-case basis, responding to parents who have contacted them. The director of Studio M, in an email addressed to France Bleu Hérault, expresses her disappointment and undertakes to support the students concerned. An appeal has also been filed with the rectorate to find a solution to this unprecedented situation.
This scandal highlights serious problems within the education system and underlines the importance of transparency and impeccable administrative rigor, especially when the future of young students is at stake.
