On the night of Sunday, August 3rd to Monday, August 4th, two men were found in critical condition, naked and injured in a ditch in Montpellier, in the Mosson district. The discovery came after a disturbing report of a vehicle damaged by bullet holes near Lac des Garrigues. The situation, which appears to be a brutal kidnapping, contains indications of a possible settling of scores linked to drug trafficking. An Unexpected Discovery in the Middle of the Night The alert was raised around midnight following the discovery of a car bearing traces of blood and visibly riddled with bullet holes. This location, located not far from Lac des Garrigues, in the Hauts de Massane area, attracted the attention of law enforcement, who were confronted with an unprecedented scene of violence. According to eyewitnesses, two completely naked men were seen being threatened by four armed individuals. The latter then allegedly took them by force into the surrounding bushes. Information obtained by Actu.fr reveals that one of the victims is a 16-year-old boy, while the other is a young adult. Both were allegedly abducted in the La Mosson neighborhood by these assailants, armed with Kalashnikovs and handguns. The violent scenes didn’t end there: they were allegedly forced to undress before being tied up and locked in the trunk of a car.
The suspects have, for the time being, disappeared into the nearby woods, leaving behind a chaotic scene. Their unexpected escape was partially captured by surveillance cameras, but they remain at large despite the intervention of the RAID.
A Possible Settlement of Scores? According to the initial findings of the ongoing investigation, this may have been a settling of scores stemming from a violent warning, possibly linked to illicit activities such as drug trafficking.
