A remarkable and unifying edition This year, the WTT Champions in Montpellier attracted an impressive total of43,269 spectators , demonstrating the growing enthusiasm for this major sporting event. With 436 media mentions in national media outlets, it has established itself as one of the tournaments with the best media coverage in the world of table tennis. The presence of international players alongside our French team
guaranteed top-level matches, making the experience unforgettable for the audience in the Sud de France Arena.
A fertile ground for the future of table tennis Beyond the sporting spectacle, this event allowed the FFTT to prepare for the future with diverse initiatives. Two training camps brought together the best young table tennis players in France, while students from the
DEJEPS programs in Nantes and Montpellier
had the unique opportunity to rub shoulders with the best and absorb the demands of high-level competition. This on-the-ground learning during the tournament was a crucial opportunity for observation and reflection for these future coaches. New projects and club commitmentThe Montpellier event was also an opportunity to unite the driving forces of French table tennis. An exceptional meeting brought together clubs from the Occitanie region, under the initiative of Gilles Erb, President of the
FFTT
and Kamel Chibli, Vice-President of the Occitanie Regional Council, along with more than twenty representatives, discussed the federal project. This cooperation aimed to strengthen support for clubs and propose a shared vision for future development. Strategic Partnerships and Social Initiatives Finally, theWTT Championsconsolidated and expanded the FFTT’s network of partners. A meeting was organized with partners of theNîmes-Montpellier Alliance
